Services > Fees and Processing Time
1. Immigration Fees:
Effective May 3, 2006, the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, (RPRF), is $490.00. Certain past applicants for permanent residence may be entitled to a refund. Ask us for details. *Note: For applicants to Quebec a Selection Certificate must first be obtained prior to applying to CIC and involves a separate set of immigration fees to that Province. 2. Processing Times:
Virtually every client asks the same obvious question:
"How long will my application take to process?" We do our best to provide every client with an accurate estimate of processing time periods. Obviously, time periods vary on the type of application submitted and the volume of applications submitted to various Canadian diplomatic missions abroad. Independent and Family-Class Applicants may take up to 18 months while Business and Investors may expect to wait up to 4 to 5 months for processing. Since 1999 many Canadian Diplomatic Missions have experienced severe "backlogs" which has meant processing times of up to 18-24 months in some countries. The Minister of Citizenship & Immigration has vowed to fix this problem of delays as quickly as possible and we eagerly await the disappearance of such undue delays. Nevertheless we always guide you through the system to ensure that the best diplomatic mission is selected for the quickest and best results for your application. |
